Balayage in Jacksonville
Balayage is soft, sun-kissed color that grows out beautifully instead of leaving a hard line and lived-in dimension you can wear for months. One thing worth knowing before you book: "Balayage" is a technique, not a look. It's color painted freehand onto the hair, and the photo you saved might have been created with foils, hand-painting, or both. So we focus on the result you want and choose the technique to match, that's what we mean by custom color.
You're in the right place.
Balayage vs. Foils vs. Highlights
At your consultation we read your hair and your goal together, not a technique off a menu. We look at your starting level and color history, your inspo photos — brightness, contrast, where the light sits — and your maintenance reality, meaning how often you can realistically get back in the chair. Then we build the color with whatever mix of painting and foils gets you there safely. Sometimes that's true balayage. Often it's foilyage. Usually it's a blend. The technique is ours to solve; the look is what we commit to.
A soft, lived-in balayage grows out gracefully, so it stretches further between appointments than a high-contrast foil look — often three to five months before a full service. What keeps it fresh in between is a gloss or toner refresh every six to ten weeks. Lightened hair carries warm pigment underneath, and the gloss on top neutralizes it into your finished shade. That gloss rinses out gradually, and as it does, some of that warmth returns. A refresh resets it, quicker and cheaper than a full color.
"An absolute sensational experience. She spent her time talking with me before we started to ask what I was wanting to achieve. I asked for her opinion and professional thoughts, resulting in the best color I have had in years."

How to keep Balayage from turning brassy
Price depends on your starting color, your hair length, and the technique your look actually needs, so we quote after a consultation rather than from a flat menu. You'll have a clear number before any color is mixed.
Bring your inspo photos and your goal. We'll map the technique, the timeline, and the maintenance, so you know exactly what you're signing up for before we start.
Your Best Hair Is One Appointment Away
lets do this.
We're right by St. Johns Town Center, and most of our guests are within a 30-minute drive — Southside, Intracoastal West, Deerwood, Mandarin, San Marco, Ponte Vedra, and the Jacksonville Beaches. We also welcome clients who travel in from Fernandina Beach and St. Marys.

Not quite. Highlights are traditionally done in foils; balayage is color painted freehand for a softer, more blended, grown-out look. Many looks today use both — foils for brightness, hand-painting for blend.
Both, depending on your goal. If your inspiration is a bright, clean blonde, foils usually do most of the lifting. If it's a soft, lived-in blend, hand-painting leads. We choose the method that matches your photo — that's what custom color means.
A soft, lived-in balayage can stretch to three to five months between full appointments, with a gloss or toner refresh every six to ten weeks to keep your tone fresh. Brighter, higher-contrast looks need more frequent visits.
Some warmth returns as your gloss fades — that's chemistry, not damage — and a quick toner refresh resets it. We'll tell you how much maintenance your specific look needs before we start.
It works beautifully on both, but the approach is different. Brunettes can expose warm, orange tones when lightened and need careful placement to stay rich rather than muddy. See our Brunette and Blonde Specialist pages for the full picture.
It depends on your starting color, hair length, and the technique your look actually requires, which is why we quote after a consultation rather than from a one-size price. You'll get a clear number before any color is mixed.
